King Oyster Grilled Mushroom Steaks

Impressive and meaty, the King Oyster Grilled Mushroom Steaks are a wonderful way to surprise your dinner guests with something truly unique. This recipe can be used as the main entrée for vegetarians or a perfect pairing with other grilled foods.

 

Ingredients

  • 4 - King Oyster Mushrooms 

  • 2 tbsp - Avocado oil 

  • 1 tbsp - Chopped rosemary 

  • 2 tsp - Granulated garlic 

  • 2 tsp - Coarse ground salt

  • 2 tsp - Coarse ground pepper

Directions

  1. Cut each King Oyster Mushroom in even halves from top to bottom. This should create two long steak-like pieces from each mushroom.

  2. In a large container or bowl mix the avocado oil, chopped rosemary, granulated garlic, coarse salt, and pepper. 

  3. Place King Oyster halves into oil and spice mix. Cover or seal and let marinate for 15-30 mins. 

  4. Preheat grill to medium heat, roughly 350° F. 

  5. Grill King Oyster halves for roughly 10 minutes, flipping halfway. Grill until golden brown and has some light charring. 

  6. Enjoy!
